Book Post - Here Comes Everybody

Like Spiderman's Uncle Ben said, "With great power comes great responsibility. " Social networks provide a powerful way to share information. This information can be spread and influence many people in the decisions they make day to day. Because of this, erroneous information can have a detrimental effect on people in just the same way good information can inspire and promote others to choose wisely. We, as users and consumers in this vast network, need to make sure the information that comes to us is reliable, and that the things we say are truthful.

  1. It's sad to say this but we should all have be suspicious about what we come across on the internet, and elsewhere for that matter.

  2. While we are responsible for the information we belive and follow, it is still nice to know that a lot of unless or not credible information is filtered before it ever reaches us. This happens due to the number of people who look at this information and filter it for us letting us know what is good information or not. We can then decide for ourselves whether or not to belive the information that does get to us.

  3. Strong opening and closing. I appreciate you mentioning the responsibility that we all have in regulating content and accuracy. I think its often easy to assume that someone else will take care of it, while that is not always the case.
